Post-delivery, if an episiotomy is performed, a patient may feel enlarged, necessitating intimate surgeries like vaginal tightening.

Our clinic performs about 200 intimate surgical procedures annually, including correcting asymmetrical labia, reconstructing post-delivery damages, and treating prolapses caused by aging or pregnancy. We welcome patients from all over Sweden and abroad.

- Labia Reduction (click for more info): The most common intimate surgery procedure, where we shorten and remove part of the inner labia to create better harmony in shape and size.
- Vaginal Tightening (click for more info): Currently, we do not have a gynecologist for internal plastic surgery. This procedure tightens the vaginal muscles and perineum, countering effects of childbirth, aging, and genetics.
Before each operation, we offer a consultation with Dr. Oya or a gynecologist to discuss your needs and expectations, along with detailed preparation instructions.
Operations are usually performed under local anesthesia, with other options discussed during your consultation.
Post-operative guidelines will be provided, including timelines for returning to work and resuming sexual activity.

Intimate Surgery for Functional Problems: Currently, we do not perform this operation. Pelvic muscle weakening due to age, pregnancy, and other factors can lead to prolapse, causing various discomforts. Functional issues can be addressed with different types of intimate surgery, performed by our gynecologist and urologist.
For women without incontinence issues but experiencing a loosened vaginal opening, a procedure called perineorraphy is available, involving the reduction of muscles around the vaginal opening and perineum.
Before Surgery – Consultation: You need to undergo a gynecological examination to describe problems and get advice. During the consultation, you and the plastic/gynecological surgeon will discuss the procedure details.
Preparation for Surgery (click for more info): When booking a surgery, you will receive detailed preparation information. Note that shaving or waxing near the surgical area should be avoided the week before surgery to prevent small wounds and skin damage that can increase infection risk. Menstruation is not a hindrance for surgery, but if you’re uncomfortable, the operation can be scheduled after your menstrual period. Please contact us well in advance.
After Surgery (click for more info): Post-operative care advice will be given. Recovery time varies, but generally, you can return to work after a few days to a week if your job isn’t physically demanding. If you have a physically demanding job, return after about 2-4 weeks. Avoid baths or swimming pools for the first month after surgery, and sexual activities should be avoided for 4 to 6 weeks.
